mrnic3 10 Posted June 30, 2010 The video part of the game crashes randomly in a 20 minutes period. I can still hear the game running. It's just the video part. It's like alt+tab to desktop but i can not go back to the game. It's no heating problem as some guys in my clan experiencing the same. Very annoying haven't had that in arma 2. GAME UNPLAYABLE! Anyone with the same issue or a fix? Jeevz 0 Posted June 30, 2010 Are you getting the little yellow warning sign in the system tray and the "display driver stopped responding and has recovered" error? If so I have the exact same problem. A2 will run for hours and not do it, OA does it every time within 10 or 15 minutes of mission start.

A workaround : alt tab to desktop, then back to game, you should have a black screen with or without the mouse, then flush the video memory with the cheat : Left Shift+Minus, then type "FLUSH ". Jeevz 0 Posted June 30, 2010 Thanks Prof, I'll try that tonight. Is that numpad minus or regular minus?

Jeevz 0 Posted July 1, 2010 I solved this problem by using RivaTuner to run my GPU fan at a constant 85% rather than letting the fan run under auto management. I don't know what OA is doing that A2 doesn't but whatever it is causes my GPU to overheat and do it really fast too. Only game I own that requires this. chiefredcloud 10 Posted July 1, 2010 I had a simular experiance last night while we were playing the PvP portion in the city. Every few minutes the screen would go black and I'd recieve the message "Recieving" as if the graphics were catching up. My system is an I7 920 with a GTX 295 Dual GPU. the system is windows 7 with 6 gigs of memory. As a side note, this did not happen while playing Domination coop (that I remember). Only in the city and PvP.
