Just an update...

I have found a more stable and less strttered way for myself, it may work for others.

Screeen res 1920x1080

All settings ingame to Normal / High

Disable Antialaising

Disable Anistropic Filter

Crank up the 3d Res to 150%

My sytem is alot more stable.. but still the odd crash, but playable, even a little less stutter.

Getting 42 FPS in benchmark 1 (V1.5)

After patch 1.7 FPS in Benchmark 1 jumps to 56

Command line used

-nosplash -noFilePatching -cpucount=4 -exThreads=7

GTX 470

Q9550 @3.4

4Gb Dominator @1066

750I FTW

Win 7 64

X-Fi Fatality

258.69 Beta

Hmm I had similar problems but the fill rate trick didn't help whats your Nvidia settings on the desktop side, speificily the triliner filtering and such. If you could send a screen grab of the Nvidia Global settings for ARMA 2 that'd be super. Thanks!
