NoRailgunner 0 Posted May 4, 2010 It would be very useful getting AI with an direct order to use their secondary weapons or Laserdesignators via command - action menu. Its now annoying if you have AI FAC + air support but the AI FAC dont utilize the LD to mark targets. Imho its better to have an option to order your AI buddys directly to do + use some stuff instead of relying fully on their artificial "temper & mood". IRL subordinates have to follow direct orders - (military) life isnt meant to be easy.
wamingo 1 Posted May 4, 2010 I'm not against your idea but you could also have, in my opinion, more intuitive options ie: - Laser Designate Target (automaticly using LD) - Destroy Target (if it's a tank he'd use his RPG for instance) etc more macro options if you will. NoRailgunner 0 Posted May 4, 2010 Sounds good if such working macro options will be implemented by BIS! But I think its easier and perhaps faster for them to implement this direct "use < weapon >" order. Imho this option was already there in OFP and during ArmA-QG/Arma2 development this useful + practical AI command got lost...
wamingo 1 Posted May 4, 2010 Fast and easy sounds awfully reminiscent of dirty and hack. However, you may be right. I do remember the order to select weapon in the past. But I believe the features to facilitate the macro commands already exists as well.
DICS 10 Posted September 7, 2011 How to make the civilian fire a gun? I tried to use fire, but it shoots up. Now I'm trying to use useWeapon, but I can not find the settings for the correctly work of the command. Can you help me?
