nickvio0294 10 Posted April 14, 2010 Hey guys, Im having a huge problem with my computer at the moment and that problem is the BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death.) It seems this only happens when I play ARMA 2, it never did this in any other game except ARMA. The game loads up fine I can get to the main menu without a problem but come time to join a server when thats done loading BAM BSOD. Or if im lucky I'll be able to play for a half hour tops. This angers me because I paid 40$ for a game I now cannot play. Specs: Motherboard: MSI MS-7380 OS: Windows 7 64bit ( 6.1, Build 7600 ) Bios: Default System Bios Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 @ 3.33GHZ (no overclock) RAM: 4GB Corsair DDR2 800 Dual Channel Direct X Ver: 11 Graphics Card: Nvidia 9800 GTX Akimbo Series by EVGA with 1GB of Graphic Memory Main Driver: NVD3DUMX.dll, NVWGF2UMx.dll, NVWGF2.dll Driver Version: 8.17.11.9745 Date: 4/3/2010 Driver Model: WDDM 1.1 DDI Version: 10 Monitor: Generic PnP Monitor (LCD at 1680x1050) All Direct X Features Enabled. Sound: Real tek HD Audio PSU: 600Watts Things I have tried to do to solve the problem but ultimately failed. 1. Reinstalling the game 2. Error Checked my hard drive 3. Ran in compatibility for XP SP3 (As it worked on my computer fine when I had XP) 4. Ran program as admin 5. Ran malaware bytes Thanks for any help I receive. BSOD ERROR MESSAGE: "Please check to make sure you have adequate disk space" and it also said. "see if you can identify a driver to be causing this problem" and in tech info it had like x00000x00055 etc.(thats all i could write down in the 30s i had) THE MINIDUMP FILES: http://www.speedyshare.com/files/21941384/minidump.rar

nickvio0294 10 Posted April 14, 2010 Try to disable your Linksys wireless adaptor and check if ArmA2 will run normal. if i do that then i cant play online which is where the problem lies. What makes you say its my wireless adaptor?
=silver= 0 Posted April 14, 2010 if i do that then i cant play online which is where the problem lies. What makes you say its my wireless adaptor? Analyzing of the dump file(s) you've provided. And I said "try to disable", not "disable it completely and drop to trash can" :) If it will fix BSODs - try to update driver, use another USB slot etc.
Yoma 0 Posted April 14, 2010 Haven't windbg'd the dumpfiles, but if it does point to linksys wireless driver, then it might be a good idea to look for a different driver. Also I've experienced the same thing with some linksys USB wireless dongles at work. The solution there was not to install the latest driver, but some older version. By the way this info is all very iffy, maybe start off by telling the exact model number of the the wireless NIC.
nickvio0294 10 Posted April 14, 2010 yea so i put the wireless adaptor into a new USB port got to play for about 10 minutes and BSOD. When i put the wireless adaptor in win 7 automatically installed the lastest drivers for the device. There is a number on it 802.11g not sure if thats the model number or not. but it looks like this http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&q=linksys+usb+wireless+adapter&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=6706243103814026128&ei=ejvGS9zGNcX6lwenlcCDDA&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=5&ved=0CCgQ8wIwBA#ps-sellers
