Probably, but unless you can get the 295's really cheap I woudn't go for it.

Not really, you will get slightly better FPS I'm sure but 4 GPUs rarely scale well (except in benchmarks).

Yeah, personally I would go for the GTX 480 over those, unless you play at a ridiculously high resolution or something.
