Mightymints 0 Posted March 26, 2010 (edited) PC is: Windows 7 home premium GFX card sapphire 5850 CPU intel i7 2.8 8GB corsair ddr3 ram I just got the game today, it ran without the patch, but i got weird graphical glitches like there were no textures on anything. I patched to the latest patch, and now when it gets to the main menu, it just immediately crashes to the desktop. I have tried reinstalling with no help. It says the game stopped working and gives me the following: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: arma2.exe Application Version: 1.5.0.62017 Application Timestamp: 4b2f54d8 Fault Module Name: arma2.exe Fault Module Version: 1.5.0.62017 Fault Module Timestamp: 4b2f54d8 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 000ea959 OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 0a9e Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Additional Information 3: 0a9e Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Read our privacy statement online: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=104288&clcid=0x0409 If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt ---------- Post added at 10:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:16 PM ---------- Oh and on the second install, still the same thing, this is the code for the second time in case something is different: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: arma2.exe Application Version: 1.5.0.62017 Application Timestamp: 4b2f54d8 Fault Module Name: arma2.exe Fault Module Version: 1.5.0.62017 Fault Module Timestamp: 4b2f54d8 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 000ea959 OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 0a9e Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Additional Information 3: 0a9e Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Read our privacy statement online: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=104288&clcid=0x0409 If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt Edited March 27, 2010 by Mightymints

Without any patch I get no textures loading properly, and I get a weird sound issue with the right speaker, does the same with right earphone. I also get the same with patch 1.04 when i was on the ATI drivers I was on an hour ago. Patch 1.05 crashes to the desktop with the above error from the first post, at the main menu. Every time. I then updated to the very latest 10.3 ATI drivers. 1.04 works texture with the latest drivers from ATI but with the same horrible sound problem 1.05 still crashes just the same at the menu :(
Zeron 10 Posted March 28, 2010 remove the old drivers properly, install the newest one, including DirectX
Mightymints 0 Posted March 28, 2010 If by removing them properly you mean uninstall them first, then restart and install them again. I already did this :(.
