Archamedes 10 Posted March 4, 2010 (edited) World conflict: issue 1 This is part one of an ongoing series. I plan to create multiple war comics following stories (fiction and real) from pretty much all big wars we have had. I plan to make series for the first and 2nd world wars, vietnam modern war in iraq and afghanistan and its going to be a modern day version of those old black and white "commando" comics famous in the 80's and 90's. Each issue is a self contained short story, some of the characters will interlink other stories and you may even get a different soldiers perspective of the same story. Another little touch i thought i would put in would be say an american fighter plane crashes in the 2nd world war and in a seperate story of the vientam war, other soldiers stumble across the now rusted wreakage of that same plane. it won't have any meaning in the vietnam story but anybody following the series will say "that was the plane that crashed in a different story." Another idea would have soldiers in iraq telling their friends about their grandathers who stormed the beaches on D-Day then doing that D-Day comic based on his grandfather. So far I have only made one comic this one comes from the afghanistan series and there will be about 3-4 stories for each genre. In this issue we see fresh recruits flown into afghanistan and their convoy is ambushed by an IED attack. I plan on doing another 3 more comics in Afghanistan, following a soldier, a fighter pilot, and a special forces team. It will be the same for all other war stories too. You may notice a few things in here from Arma 2 especially a feature from the arma 2 A.C.E mod. Arma-2-Guru 55 Posted March 4, 2010 (edited) I'm going to have a look now, would you like any help with future comics because I would love to help with a project like that, pm me if you do :) Wow, I just read it all and it is really good man.
