Ambient Base Sounds

I'm sorry if I'm out of line, I wasn't sure where to post this thread.

I've been all around the place, here and on google, looking for (free) ambient sounds to include in my missions. Theres plenty of gunshots and what not, but I was looking for "base" sounds - marching, units doing PT drills, chit chat, radios, etc. Just wanting to put a real sense of immersion into the game :)

Often you have to make them. I have made most of the ambient sounds in my missions from various recordings, reworking them in a sound editor, to get the right effect for ArmA, but most of mine are ambient combat sounds.

It's time consuming but rewarding when you get it right.

Youtube is one option although you may want to ask the other members of the Voice Actors forum group if they would like to all get together and work on generic ambient sounds.
