3d editor units to create not visible

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and I just saw and opened the 3d editor, however, when I attempt to put myself as a unit, this is what I get, a drop down list with nothing inside it..

the group and type drop down lists are empty..

any fix to this knowing I installed patch 1.05..

I never opened the editor before I patched the game..

and while i was patching it kept bringing up those stupid ignore/retry/abort messages, so I kept on ignore all the way...

any help??

I can only put non playable vehicles.

The editor is olive drab and not wine red as I saw on youtube by richiespeedisback.

any clue??

Place a center of the appropriate side first (no visible model, thats no bug) and the a group. After that, you should be able to place units.

Explanation:

A center basically "loads" AI program routines. Without these, creation of any unit will not work. In regular 2D editor this is done automatically in the background but in 3D editor it has to be done manually.

It needs 1 center for each side (not faction) you want to place down.

thanks Myke, couple more questions, at what percentage(s) do you unlock these in the Armory- A10, LGBAV8 Harrier, M107 sniper,

and is there a ballistic correction for the bullets??? , because I shoot and see the bullets scatter most stupidly down range..

darn that!!! I just created a whole scene at utes and I want to link some units but cant find the sync command in the editor.. I saved the file in hopes that if I exit the 3d editor and load the file in the normal editor instead, I'd be able to do so, but it tells me file is read only!!! YAAAYY!!! any ideas?

Erm...how do you enter the Editor? Have an idea what happened but to check please tell me how you go (exactly) in the editor and also how you save it.
