arma2 crashes around 1,3 GB

Recommended Posts

hi,

i have a long time now this problem. If i play arma, and look at the taskmanager on sec. screen, the memory arma2 uses grows up around 1,2-1,3 GB. than it crashes. even on a new system its the same. its so confusing.

i have no more idea to get this to work.

(nothing overclocked)

my sys: i920 , 12gb ram , gtx295 (tried all gpu-drivers - took a time to test)

old sys: c2q 9550 , 8gb ram , gtx295

all run on win7 64bit ultimate

arma 2 1.05 (tried it with all, like -maxmem -cpucount ...)

look at screens:

if there is a solution i will be happy. its really no fun to play when you have to look all time to the taskmanager and press "shift "-" flush

may the devs can look into it. please ;) i love my arma2 :D

it stops the crashing. thx m8. but the downside is. when it was on "default" i got higher fps.

tried many settings now, from normal to very high. and on normal settings i got very blurry textures when you look far, or fast. (looking with trackir).

still not the best solution, but the "playablest" :D no crashing so far. but testing more.

if BIS can look for the "default" setting what couses the crashing. and why its all the time around 1,2 to 1,3 GB.

that would help a lot if there comes a fix ;)

with that much ram you should use a ramdisk too, will make it alot smoother. theres a thread in the 'general' section of this forum.
