KaRRiLLioN 0 Posted April 7, 2002 Agreed. Find a few servers and if the timelimit is 30, make sure you're back in time to join. Then become a regular. Once you're actually playing, then you don't have to worry so much about the "Game in Progress" screen. I find that most of the time people defeat themselves because they are too impatient to wait even 5 minutes for the next game to begin. More often than not, they shoot themselves in the foot by trying to find another server for instant gratification and a quick game. Opflash isn't really that kind of game. MassMartyr 0 Posted April 8, 2002 If you add a text file with the name "hosts.txt" into the OFP directory with the IP addresses of your favorite servers, the multiplayer menu will show you the status of those servers (creating, playing, waiting etc.) in "realtime" before you choose to join them. Just open Notepad, type 'em in (one address per line), save as a text file into the directory, and forget about it until you want to add/delete some more. Example content/format of hosts.txt (addresses are fictional): 999.95.133.184 777.234.123.33 105.189.222.211 323.251.92.94 11.127.131.56 You can add as many as you like. BigQEd 0 Posted April 8, 2002 In addition to MassMartyr's tidbit you can also specify ports like so: 123.123.123.123:1234 123.123.123.123:4321 By default OFP utilizes port 2234 however many servers use different ports. billy22 0 Posted April 8, 2002 thanks to all that reply and for the advices. Bis sorry about my rant from my first post. I think the game is great, easy to mod to suit my taste. I like to see crater make and debris(i love to see vehicle blow apart too)flying everywhere when hit by shell or mortar Bis as well as bullet hole on wall when hit and not puff of smoke. please say you will implement that in future ofp product and i hope to see JIP in future OFP. thanks alot for making a great war game that is mod friendly Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
