user defined animations for weapon?

According to

http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Model_Config#Animation_sources

there is only reload and revolving possible for weapons. I want to try make working bipods and wonder how it can be done? Can we use the user one and script (how do you refer to the weapon then?)

i know how to animate vehicles, inside and out.. but with weapons i feel bit stuck so if anyone could give me some pointers. (also do anyone know if there is more animation sources in arma2??)

Hmmm, I believe I have seen this done for a weapons stock in ARMA1.

Would it be possible to set up the animation in the same way as you might a door opening on a vehicle and add a user command that activates it from the scroll button menu, again a bit like with opening closing doors on vehicles.
