Has the fixed us gold version been sent to stores?

I know in March or so, 2002 that a problem was discovered with the US Gold edition of OPF and was pulled from stores. I wanted to know if this problem has been resolved and if the new and fixed versions are back on the shelves of stores yet? If not when will it be back for sale? My local EB doesn't have any copys and I am wanting of this game. I would appreciate an answer as I am planning to buy it as soon as it is available.
