Not responding

When I try to play Arma2 the game always freezes when I'm either loading a level or if I try to fire with a gun. It seems totally random and sometimes it takes 5 to 10 minutes before it freezes and the task manager says it is not responding. Other times it does it right away I pres a button.

I have tried a lot, not everything, bu a lot and its's becoming very annoying.

The worst is that after I installed patch 1.05 it freezes even sooner.

One thing I have discovered is that when I autorun from CD, the menu dosn't say I can play, and that I havn't installed the game.

I'm not completaly sure about my computer specs axcept that I have a ATI Radeon 3870 X2, AMD Athlon Dual Core Processor and 2,5 GB memory.

I'd try a reinstall of the game mate then play with settings/options. Loads of threads elsewhere on that. I have always had the same thing with the auto run as well. Shows as not installed. Odd

I tried reinstalling, but that didn't fix anything. It can't be graphics either because I'm hitting 50fps with everything on highest

I am also having this problem. The game just freezeswhen loading or after being in game for a few minutes. My temps are fine graphics run smoothly even when maxed out.

me too, with the freeze accompanied by a sound loop. i've only noticed it since the 1.05 patch but hadn't owned the game long before patching. gfx and audio drivers have been updated, and i wound the settings back a fair bit to reduce the load. no difference. temperatures seem ok. no overclocking. no problems with other games.
