Eagle Wing (Spoilers here, go away!!)

So, i just decided to reinstall the game and try out ACE and all the new stuff, started by the Eagle Wing mission, looked nice on the beginning, i killed the first patrol then headed to Sparta, took out some planes then a guy said to kill some god damn general.

I headed there, the gunner exploded some stuff around the marker but nothing really happened, there was still something firing at me on the middle of the fire, but the retarded AI gunner refused to engage him, then i circled around and got hit by a missile from god knows where, since there are no counter-measures on the magic Arma II world.

Anyway... the problem is: this happened like 6 times so i'm pretty much stuck there and no idea what am i supposed to do.

help please ?

Use manual fire. The AI gunners only fire cannons in bursts, anyways. When you're ordered to kill the General, blow up everything you can in the immediate vicinity of the marker, concentrating specifically on any aircraft you see. I managed to do it first time. Use tab to quickly switch between targets.

Also, you have to be careful of the Tomahawk missiles falling on the town. That's probably what hit you. I don't think there are any AA soldiers in the area. Essentially - don't fly your helicopter into the middle of the friendly bombardment of the town.

You can tell him to engage specific targets that you're aware of by pressing f2-2 and selecting targets from that list.
