oxmate 10 Posted January 8, 2010 hi i new to arma2 only got it today but i have updated to 1.05 my problem is that if the server doesn't time out it comes up saying i can't edit and comes up with what i think is map names......anyway of fixing this? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
11aTony 0 Posted January 8, 2010 Hi there. You probably dont have the right mods installed that servers you tried require. On the left side in MP menu you should see green or red circle. So, if it green you can join otherwise try to find out what mods you need to download if you want to play there. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
oxmate 10 Posted January 8, 2010 they are all green the one's i trying to connect i got to connect to a couple but now it runs like it's bogged down or very laggy i don't know why i got a asus p5k 3.4 dual cpu with a geforce 250 gts and 3 gig rams.and cable internet Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

terox 316 Posted January 9, 2010 Possibles: Patch 1.05 has a hotfix, Grab it here http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1522848&postcount=2 This can cause problems when trying to connect to servers. Was message you got when trying to connect to a server pointing to you having deleted files that the server requires you to have? If this is the case, then it would appear you are trying to connect to a server that is running addons that you do not have. (Check this link out Newcomers guide to multiplayer if that is the case. A green light by the side of a server name in the gamespy browser seems to define that You have the same version of the game as the server if equalmodrequired is implemented, you have the same setup as the server if signature verification is switched on, you have not loaded any additional addons that the server does not have keys for What a green light does not indicate is that you have the addons required by the server. if this does not solve the solution, could you please post a screenshot of the error message or type the message in the post please Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
