ACM modules - wits end !

Recommended Posts

I have searched and found suggestions that I have tried , yet the ACM module does not work !. I have placed the module , named it BIS_ACM in the name field and synced by dragging a line from the module to myself. Once a heli appeared after 10 mins, thats it . What on earth do I have to do to have a random battle. I have been patient and waited for 10/ 15 mins, and nothing appears. Bloody infuriating :mad:

Place a trigger next to you so you're in the circle, make it activate when 'West' is present (or whatever faction you are playing as), and make all the countdown fields read '10'. In the 'On Activation' line put this, assuming you named the module "BIS_ACM":

[1, BIS_ACM] call BIS_ACM_setIntensityFunc;

That will make the frequency of units spawning maxed out (I think) so you should see more stuff.

Remember you can use the - and + keys to speed up time if you're in the editor. Also make sure you don't leave the circle in 10 seconds :P

Thanks for the efforts.., I did precisely as you wrote and got a few choppers and tanks spawning for my efforts . Bit of a damp squib tbh ..takes 5/10 minutes at fast speed to get this too show as well. Just how quick should this ambient combat take ?

Haven't tried it myself but given it's titled "Ambient" (i.e. I would suppose normally incidental to some other specific task) I don't know what else you should expect. If you want instant combat just plonk down a few OpFor and go at it.

The initial point of the module is that if you sync it to your squad leader then carry out a normal mission then you'll run into random patrols, random vehicles, etc. Basically simulating a surrounding conflict zone. Hence why it's meant to be an addon to a mission and not a mission itself, but by raising the modules level you can have days of fun just holding off random attacks.
