Graphic Bugs

Hello guys,I just recently got Arma 2 and I have a strange graphic Problem,it looks like this:

Its strange grey rectangles all over the world,it doesnt matter if I´m in the air or not it happens from time to time,but only when I look in a certain direction. It´s temporary fixable by just changing any Graphic Option at all, but it will appear again I´ve been getting this bug quite a few times now.

My System and other things:

2x3ghz Intel (If you need the specific type I´ll find out)

2gb Ram

HD 3850 with 512mb

Arma2 Version 1.04

Newest Driver for the Graphic Card,no other Graphic Card drivers installed.

I know there is a patch 1.05 for Arma 2 but I want to play on a 1.04 Server online so It´d be good if I could stay with this one. If you need anything else just tell me and I´ll give you the info,I hope you can help me.

The Bug is not bad in SP as I can just pause the game and fix it but I believe it could be quite annoying in MP.

looks like a memory problem. Did you try setting your ingame video memory to LOW?

EDIT: That seemed to fix it,lol. I didnt think it´d be that easy but as long as it works its fine for me

Sorry for the Doublepost but I have another problem now,it seems kinda similar to my first one, just not as bad. It looks like this. Still fixable by changing one of the Graphic Options. It´s not as game interrupting as the first one but I´d still like to get rid of it.

It could be but I actually doubt it,the cooler for my Graphic Card is pretty good and it never did anything like that (or any other graphic bug) in other Games. Not even in Crysis,where it had a lot to do.

Please test this: whenever you get this, alt-tab out and then back into the game. If that fixes it, then its still a memory issue, please try and see which of the other video memory option fix it.

Alt-Tab fixes it,and so does every Video setting except Resolution. Btw,Im playin on Recrut so even looking on the map seems to fix it,everytime I it does a bit of loading it seems to fix the issue.

Sounds totally like a 512mb card problem. So far, the 1GB cards are the most stable with arma2. in short, still a video memory issue. Anyone with a 512mb card can give some advise?

just a fyi, the 1.05 beta patches still allow you to play on 1.04 servers.

did you fix this problem? i have the same problem but the whole screen goes just white. alt+tab fixes it, but 30 seconds later its back.

This wasn't a problem before I updated to 1.05 and updated the drivers on the video card.

arma 1.05 (updated today)

amd x2 4200+

nvidia 7900 gt (updated my drivers today)

2 gb ram

(yeah I know, its an old computer ;P )

anyone? :)
