dbeaty2 10 Posted December 7, 2009 I've been playing ARMA2 with Windows 7 64bit on my i7 920 system without problems until this week. 1.04 patch. Radeon 5750 and 6Gigs system memory. This is with Single Player Campaign mode. I am stuck in Dogs of War with the program crashing to the desktop almost constantly. It will crash when I exit a vehicle or when I try to save. Curiously, the Arma2 process still shows as running in Task Manager, but there is no way to switch back to it. This has not occurred until I got pretty far into this DOW mission. I've been playing relatively crash free for about 3 weeks so I assume it has something to do with the status of the mission/my location. My ARMA2.RPT is about 20000 lines, so I don't know where to post that info. Looking at it, there are so many parameters and errors. Dbeaty
DarkestKnight 10 Posted December 7, 2009 you and me both. basically the same exact thing. arma2.exe still in the task manager processes. happens in every aspect though, campaign, single player, personally made missions. happens when saving, switching views, entering/exiting vehicles, panning the camera. sometimes it just freezes and brings up the windows mouse cursor. win7 64, amd 955, 8800gtx, 4gb ram. DarkestKnight 10 Posted December 7, 2009 yea i've got the same exact problems. i thought it might be a paging file problem so tried with and without pagefiles, still crashes. tried every combination of fixes with all the target alterations, and beta patches... nothing stops the crashing. dbeaty2 10 Posted December 8, 2009 Same here, with nothing works to solve the problem. All I can say is I played through Dogs of War with no issues. Hucky 10 Posted May 2, 2010 I have the same problem. This comes up from time to time. Sometimes I can play two or three hours and then suddenly a frozen screen and the mouse arrow. In the taskmanager you find arma.exe but it is not possible to switch back to the game. I use Windows7 64 bit with 4GB Ram and an ATI Radeon HD5780 graphic card. My processor is an Intel i7 860. I hope there is someone who could help us.
