Installing missions onto Arma 2

Hello, ive been downloading single player and multiplayer missions i follow the instructions an dput them in the mission files depending on which one they beling in. But when i put them in the files i cant find them anywhere on the game. Can any one help me?

Beware that there are two folders where you may find them:

1. programs/Bohemia Interactive/Arma2/mpmissions or /missions

2. owndocuments/YOURNAME/Arma2/mpmissions or /missions

Yes i went to the programs one and it dint install there and then i went to the file of Arma 2 saved onto my desktop and it dint save there.

did you unpack the downloads first? What is the file extension of the missions?

I have both Rar and Winzip installed onto my computer but it doesnt open up in any of them. But i still can extract the PBO file from it into my Arma 2 file and once i put the PBO file in my missions folder like it says to do it doesnt work.

So how are you extracting the PBO if winrar and winzip don't open the files? How do you try to start the custom mission? Can you give us the complete directory path(s) where you placed the PBO files? Can you post a screenshot of the folder?

I use RAR and sometimes I get told that the pbo cannot extract.

So I extract to desktop, open my SP missions folder, and drop them in.

This has always worked. Maybe try Win7?

Hate to bring an old post back to life but I need some help with installing the mp missions. I extraced them to my desk top but am not sure where to install them. I am familliar with OFP and ArmA1, but for the life of me I cant find the missions I've dl'ed from the servers I've been playing on.

Found the mission folder under users\documents\saved\mp missions... SOrry again for bringing this back to life.

Dont go to users. Go to where the game exe is located. For me its

Program Files (x86)>Steam>Steamapps>common>arma 2 operation arrowhead (or arma 2)

then there will be a list of folder locations and one will be labeled "MPMissions". Put the mp missions there.
