CDF not CDK ;)

the CDF Base is just west/south west of Zelenogorsk and the russian base is north east of Vybor/ west of Grishno/ north of kabanino

Well if we are picky here you dont have to destroy CDF base so he probably ment CDK as ChDKZ. So, ChDKZ base is about 2km north-east from NAPA base or so (if you played NAPA dogs of war). If you played CDF dow then about 5km north-east of base. Cant tell you coordinats exacly.

Hi thanks all for the above. I have been exploring the map and tried to enter the Airfield, where I am greeted with an enemy heli, wipes me out within seconds. So I tried again and lasted for about a minute. The problem I found that the AI did not pick up enemy units, i.e. enemy tank 200 metres North East, Enemy soldier 100 metres south etc. So I checked my map, and no enemy units were shwon, even though I could see a load of armour, troops and heli's on the Airfield.

So is this a common bug? Or is it simply not part of the game plan to enter the Airfield?

that sounds like the "rpg from God" issue that is in several of the other missions. If you go outside of the mission area then a script kicks in and an unseen rpg takes you out. If you are not in a vehicle then it is an unseen sniper that kills you. I have seen this same script in Razor Two mission and in the mission after Manhattan (if you have not taken NAPA's help)

Tried all grids N/E of the base, but could find nothing, spent 2hrs searching. Is it in woods, open land, village, hill etc? Or do I have to take over all the towns first that are in my tasks?

no the ChDK base isnt near NAPA base..

the chedaki main base is at the large open field east of Msta.

Well perhaps the intel briefing you got was different from mine as I:

Hooked up with NAPA in Badlands and shot the priest/terrorist so that the CDF and NAPA now work together.

Don't know whether different choices (if you can make them) put you in a different situation in DoW but the briefing I got at the start told me the Russians were based around the airfield, they were militarily vastly superior and if I tangled with them they'd kick my ass six ways to hell. Which seems to be your experience. I haven't done it yet but the briefing was:

Find evidence to discredit the Chedaki and the Russians will leave of their own accord. In theory perhaps.
