Ree 0 Posted October 17, 2009 Hello everyone, I found something odd when checking the Primary Volume Descriptor of ARMA 2 DVD. ImgBurn is a free disc burning program which I often use myself. I wonder how come its tag is present in the PVD of ARMA media? Anyone could post the info of their own store-bought retail disc (will take only a couple of minutes)? I would like to check if the data matches with mine. If you don't mind, get CDInfo here: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Others/Miscellaneous/CDInfo.shtml. It's a small program without any installation requirements (just a single exe file). Put your ARMA 2 disc in your DVD drive and run the program. You'll see a window similar to the one above. Capture a screenshot of it and post it here.
Ree 0 Posted October 17, 2009 Thanks, the data matches. I was beginning to think my copy was somewhat odd... :) Still, it's interesting they used ImgBurn for their media. I'll ask ImgBurn guys in what ways their software could have been used here.
Shadow NX 1 Posted October 17, 2009 Just a wild guess but possibly the gold master was burned with the programm? But as said, only a guess.
cole 0 Posted October 17, 2009 lol, some people really notice everything. :) And as Shadow NX said, it's most probably data from the gold master. ... or maybe BIS burned each DVD themselves at the studios? :D
