What the hell is going on

A few days a go I posted in the mod section looking for a FN FAL (slr). All went well I found a mod thx to a good man from Canada.

This is where it all fell apart a young PRESON from the US asked me why I wanted the FAL and not the M14, as the M14 was apparently a better weapon, well I have used both in the real world and I don’t like the M14 at all they feel junky and shoot really badly (compared to the SLR ,as they are old stock). So it’s for personal reasons I like the FN FAL.

I was making a map and wanted to use the FAL its that simple but now I have had this Little prick call me my friend’s and dec (dead) relatives liars (My Step grandfather was a Col in the English army and eventually he went to work for Mi 5-6 one of those two the wont tell me which one it was, as I have may stories from him over the years ) as he preceded to argue that the M1 was the best weapon used in WW2 and there for the M14 was also the greatest weapon ever made as it was a relative of the M1 grand. When in fact I have Info to the opposite from records that show most of the US forces where using P14 (a copy of the lee Enfield m2 no3 made by Remington and Winchester a very fine and reliable weapon, you can actually hit some one with one and they don’t fall a part {like the M1}was the way I was told the story)

Its getting to the stage that I can post with out a 16 yr old wanting to fight over which country has the better equip. And why the USA is so great. I thought this type of flaming had been stamped out. I don’t care if this person won’t listen but I do care that he is calling my Dead relatives and friend’s liars.

You've run into one of the most noxious of netizens..

The Red Faced Knowitall.

This species believes itself to be one of the largest in the animal kingdom, whereas in reality it is tiny and insignificant.  It believes that the only way to express ones opinion is to bellow it out and deny the possibility that it might be wrong.  Even with demonstrated proof, the Red Faced Knowitall will shout and yell and often resort to name calling and anger to make its point.

There is only one defence against said beastie...

Ignore it.  That generally infuriates them even more, and often results in the specimen demonstrating to all it's ignorance and stupidity.

That being said, it sucks that you have had to deal with this.  I say dont let it get to you.  Besides, anyone with half a brain knows the FN is a betterbuilt and more reliable weapon.  Why do you think the US army adopted the minimi?
