I have a problem now, if i open chat in mp, it appears on the left , but much higher.also all the other ingame messages.normally it was in the bottom left corner,above those little squad-member-icons.. but now it's so high..here screenshot..can anybody help me? its very crappy to play like that..i have normal res for 22" wide ( 1680x1050) ..heeeelp me Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

-EC-M.O.R 10 Posted October 1, 2009 sorry, i don't know what you mean..i got 3d resolution on 1680x1050, native, like my desktop and menu, or ui, i think you mean that, is set on same resolution..if i change it, i cannot pick my normal native resolution..it was always fine, i haven't changed options, one day, the damn chat appeared much higher..the other option "menu-size" also makes no change for it, only the font size changes, not the position on the screen..really strange Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

-EC-M.O.R 10 Posted October 2, 2009 jo kju, can u post your values of your profile, its in arma2 other profiles..i mean these ones, maybe i can change 'em to get the normal position back.. uiTopLeftX=0.27083334; uiTopLeftY=0.22499999; uiBottomRightX=0.72916663; uiBottomRightY=0.77499998; IGUIScale=0.55000001; there must be values for the menu and ui size..the problem ist, that all is together, if you reduce the menu size to small, you reduce radiomessage,chat,ingame menus and stuff..i already disabled my radiomessages from my ai, because its disturbing me all the time, if they appear in the middle, like on my screenie..but if i play russians, its hard to play without the messages, because i can't understand em:)..you guys are so good in fixing stuff, i got all your proper stuff and tweaks, if you could check this issue?! that would be awesome,,you said i should change ui-size, but that doesn't work either..greetz Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

-EC-M.O.R 10 Posted October 2, 2009 (edited) i know what you mean..when i chat now, it appears right over the squad-member-icons..i think the position of the chat has no influence on where the message appears? i don't know how the intentional gap works..but i know what u mean..i have another screenie to show you.. as you see, the arrows mark the position..normally this message was down the corner an fitted right into the resolution..so its in the bottom left corner...what you did was absolutely correct..just put it a bit more down, maybe 1cm..then its where it has always been..but for me, you're already the master himself:)..but don't waste so much time on it..i only wanna tell you how it was, before i recognized the position change..so when i connect to a server and already see the map, and the other ppl are connecting, i have on left corner abort/cancel and on the right "ready", so when i opened chat, it was alwas directly over the cancel button on the left..thx for your fast fix..very very nice.. ---------- Post added at 05:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:57 PM ---------- so here i show you... 1. screenie, there's the chat now: 2. screenie...there appears the message and where the message appears, there was normally my chat window, before the position changed..sorry the the weird posts:) you know what i mean..cheers m8 ---------- Post added at 05:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:12 PM ---------- dude don't worry any longer..it's perfect..all radiomessages and stuff are right over the squad icons..it's perfect..dude you saved my day..thx a lot Edited October 2, 2009 by [EC]M.O.R Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
