Ok i have fraps. Thats basically the only thing i know how to use thus far. Iv tried using the camera.sqs without cinema borders but it still has a huge crosshair. Anytips how to get the crosshair out and what program i should use to edit the video? i have photoshop but have no idea how to edit video with it.

Press 'L' to get rid of the crosshairs.

Some people use Windows Movie Maker to edit their movies while others spend big and legally purchase the Sony Vegas software or similar products to use, I'm quite sure.

Photoshop is for images. You'd want to purchase a license for Adobe Premiere to edit movies with an Adobe Product.

I think the normal (non-deluxe/premiere/whatever) version of Vegas 9 is only like 50 bucks (or I could be totally off). I just remember it being pretty affordable, no huge investment for someone who's looking to edit more than a single movie.

Thanks for the replies, i was confused with the Photoshop thing because theres a template for videos but i am downloading a consumer version of Adobe Premier which looks promising. Now all i need to figure out is how to get my FPS up when using fraps...i think i need better hardware so im getting 2 radeon 5870s to crossfire with an i7 to replace my core2 duo and single 4870. Hopefully that helps.

Anyways back on topic, anybody have any suggestions for making stuff look cool or any good angles etc?

There was recently a pretty sweet camera script .. thing that was released. other than that it's all just practice! :)

Look into setAccTime for making slow motion shots.
