Essential addons?

Recommended Posts

When that list was made by my mate Da.D ArmA had been out for a long time and there were litteraly millions of addons.

Thats not really the case now. To get a good understanding of what to get atm, and to ALWAYS stay de jour with addons check WWW.ARMAHOLIC.COM's news. I dont understand ARMA gamers that doesnt check the news there EVERY DAY as that will keep you up to date. ;)

I got about 50-60 addons and im not in the mood atm to start printing the essentials of them down. Sorry mate. Maybe tomorrow.

Alex

Tomorrow is here.

Essentials:

Kju's Object Draw Distance Addon - (See objects further away)

Kju's Low Visuals Addon - (more performance)

Piccoly's LandTex addon - (Ground texture for Chernarus)

JTD Fire & Smoke - (Awesome fire & smoke)

Sound Of War - SoundMod

Essentials for me give more performance, make the game look better, give nice effects and nice soundeffects wich these does. Besides them i use a lot of other addons that even further bring a nicer gaming experience.

you should try to advertise this in the mods suggestion topic, while im here i'll say what i think should be included =)

ARMA1 units ported over, i know the models are different but if anyone could do this i would be VERY happy, also i think sakura chan is/was working on basic pilot G-force effects here

this is for ARMA1 but i'm sure it could be applied to ARMA2.

Also this radar would be excellent

again, this is an ARMA1 video but i'm sure it would work in ARMA2.
