frederf 0 Posted September 23, 2009 I'm not sure if this is technically correct or not but it was very confusing. When I read the readme for the latest beta build, I read it as "for 1.03." Having patched my game to 1.04 final I initially assumed that a beta build based on 1.03 would be incompatible with 1.04. What would happen installing 1.04.59210 beta over a copy of ArmA2 1.03 final? I have no idea. If it's OK to install 1.04.59210 over 1.04 or 1.03 then the readme should reflect that. Stating "1.03" required would then not be true. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:----------------------------------------- - ANY ORIGINAL VERSION OF ARMA 2 from 1.03 (including Steam version) - DirectX 9 March 2009 is required "From 1.03" means 1.03+? That is not good language. Better language is "ANY ORIGINAL VERSION OF ARMA 2 version 1.03 or newer."
BeerHunter 0 Posted September 24, 2009 I was wondering the same thing. I'm still at 3.59025. Do I need to patch up to 1.4 to use the latest .59120 or is this still ver 3 cause the build log still shows all the modifications made to the 1.03 beta patches. AF-Killer 0 Posted September 24, 2009 I had the same problem. Try deleting/renaming/moving your old beta folder. Worked for me.
frederf 0 Posted September 24, 2009 It isn't a physical problem with me. I deleted my old beta folder and installed the latest beta build over 1.04 fine. My observation is that the documentation is potentially wrong.
