Moosed 10 Posted September 3, 2009 This happens quite regularly... I will be in charge of say 4 men, i will tell them to go to say a column formation and instead of lining up behind the way im facing they line up to my side or in some other random angle. Even if i have been running in the same direction for a minute they will still fail to lineup behind the way i have been facing. The weird thing is that when i move they all get in formation, its just whenever i stop they all lineup to my side or whatever... im assuming it's a bug ? I can't find anyway to sort it out either, so im doomed for the entire mission to have to put up with ai who won't form up properly !
Moosed 10 Posted September 4, 2009 surely i can't be the only person experiencing this ?
bhaz 0 Posted September 4, 2009 The formation will face in the direction you were last moving toward. So if you were moving north, stopped to face east and issue a formation change, they will still gather up facing north. Hitting return to formation (1-1) is the quick fix without having to move again.

WhoCares 0 Posted September 4, 2009 (edited) Could it be that they are in combat stance and just try to find cover and protect in all directions?! Edited September 4, 2009 by WhoCares
bhaz 0 Posted September 4, 2009 Could it be that they are in combat stance and just try to cover all directions?! That was my second thought. I can't say I've seen this in any of the OFP series. I usually keep a habit of switching formations on the move though. doing return to formation etc doesn't sort it out either. Weird, the return command always brings them to the direction I'm facing when I give the order, maybe there's an addon messing with it?
