Xenthan 10 Posted August 24, 2009 I'm attempting to put 6 Sidewinders onto an AV8B and the only thing holding me back is the terrible reload speed of each "magazine". Is there any command to decrease the reload time? If not I can simply put a magazine of 2 and a magazine of 4 on the plane, but I hate the way it looks when I fire missiles out of my center of mass. galzohar 28 Posted August 24, 2009 (edited) I've noticed that issue as well, would be nice if there was a mod-free solution. You could add the AH-1Z sidewinders which are a different class and thus don't require a "reload". Not sure if there's any actual difference between them. I don't like this solution though as scrolling through weapons is annoying enough already. Also, if you're trying to keep your mission realistic you may want to search online to make sure you're not making an impossible/unrealistic loadout for your aircraft ;) Edited August 24, 2009 by galzohar Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Xenthan 10 Posted August 24, 2009 Not really trying for realism, just for fun. Have the AV8 going against 3 Su25's, so just trying to give him a fair chance. As for the AH-1Z sidewinders, those are the kind that the AV8 uses natively. Have to add an entirely new launcher to equip the AV8 missiles (don't ask me why). When you add the 4 round sidewinder magazine, though, 2 of your missiles fire out from the center of your plane rather than the wings. Loses a bit of the immersion.
