Can in game save be turned off?

Does anyone know of a way to prevent the save function in game from working in a mission?

Presumably in description.ext or init sqs but where what command?

Why on earth do you want to stop people saving? confused.gif It's bad enough only being able to save once!

I don't like this stopping us from saving.

It's like stopping us from seeing the true things.

I have a strategic mission using spinors command engine it has a lot of units in the mission. So hitting save takes a long long long time (hours on a slow hard drive)

You only have 1 and a 1/4 to 1 and a 1/2 hours to complete the mission so its not realy needed. Just play the mission straight through if you can.
