Unexplainable slowdown during photography

Recommended Posts

I followed this guide posted here: http://www.arma-cp-tutorials.de.am/

Following the guide, I set a trigger to Radio Alpha to perform

player exec "camera.sqs"; showCinemaBorder false; setAccTime 0.003[/Quote]

Anyway, it works really well most of the time, but some times I get this ridiculous slow down. Like, I literally can't move the camera any more. My frame rate will still be in the 30's or so, according to FRAPS.

Also, it goes away when I press T to bring up that team switch screen or whatever. It runs along like normal. But I can't take screenshots with that but if I take it off I get the slow down again.

So, for example, the A10 picture (that I will post), I just couldn't get the camera close to the A10 because it would slow down and stop. Thus I could only take shots from the ground.

Anyway what's the deal with that? And here are some pics I took (all about 5kb over the 100kb limit :( )

It might be because you're slowing time down too much by setting "setAccTime" to .003 - set it higher, to something like .01, and see if it works then.

I'll try that, but it works fine as it is until I move it into certain positions, where it will randomly freeze until I can get away from the spot.

Will do and report results though.

*Update*

That seemed to do the trick. I was able to fly the camera all over the place with no problem. Thanks. Here are a few highlights from the scene I shot:
