Patch 1.0.3 Will Not Install - Pls Help

Recommended Posts

I have an original CD German version of ArmA2, bought when it came out.

I downloaded the 1.0.3 patch but it will not install.

Error - ArmA2 is not installed on your computer or is corrupted

Patch 1.0.2 worked fine when it was released...

NOTHING I have tried has worked... ie remove mod folders, move patch to .exe location...

Anyone have any ideas or do I have to download a Language Specific Patch?

Your help is much appreciated, would love to give this patch a try...

It's an issue with the original german version it seems. Reinstalling then patching straight to 1.03 seems to work.

I know one way to make it look like it's installed may vary a bit as i have 64bit OS.

Though looks as what your saying is caused by another problem, but i'll say solution anyway.

Go to Regedit.

HK_local_machine/Software/(for me)Wow6432node/Bohemia Interactive Studio/ArmA 2/

Then create new "string value" name it "MAIN"

,modify it and put directory of your arma 2 eg "C:\Program files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2"

Thank you very much for your help Bravo.

The key was pointing to the wrong path because after installing a new HD, the drive letters had changed... Got to love windows...
