Kane 0 Posted March 20, 2002 Is there a limit on the ammount of triggers a server can hangle on a map? Assume this is a dedi 1200 Athlon, 256DDR, 7200 RPM HDD... and all PCs are on a full-duplex 100mb switched network Each player keeps getting up ot 25 seconds "no message received", then it connects and starts over "5 seconds", "10 seconds", etc... The map has around 50-60 triggers (not that much really), and 40 or so small scripts (actions). Each of the scripts is like 10 lines long. On top, there's one big script, 41Kb+ which is accessed repeatedly during the mission (using Radio commands)... There are only 2 public-variabled variables, and they aren't used heavily at all, so. The server was running 1.49 at the time... A similar map was running fine when OFP was at around version 1.34... so.... c'mon dudes, what gives?
RED 0 Posted March 20, 2002 I have a 10mb network and have not encountered any problems like that yet, i suggest you make a backup of the mission folder. Then remove the 46+kb script from the original, and see if that makes any diffrence if not keep removing things untill you find the problem. Once you have found the problem you can put the backup into the missions DIR and fix that. RED
