john_hmstr 10 Posted August 5, 2009 Bohimia Interactive, Upon dabbling in the editor of Arma 2 I have run into a rather severe problem. Anytime I attempt to save a mission in the editor I am greeted with the following message "Saving of mission failed!" he filename doesn't seem to make any difference as a single character such as "a" or a full sentence results in the same outcome. In an attempt to troubleshoot I sought out the missions folder and there inside it was a folder with the name of the mission, but no contents. I have taken the following steps to attempt to remedy the problem. I checked every relevant directory i could think of for a read only flag (none found) Reinstalled (5 times) (no change) I am Running windows Vista Any help would be greatly appreciated, John_hmstr P.S. For troubleshooting purposes is there any way to change the location that Arma 2 saves to?
W0lle 1052 Posted August 5, 2009 I have this message only every here and then when I save too often within a few seconds. Try to run ArmA with admin privileges and see if that solves the problem. And yes, you can define where the user profile (and editor missions) are saved at by adding the -profiles parameter to your shortcut: Example: E:\Games\ArmA 2\arma2.exe" -nosplash -window -profiles=profiles this shortcut creates a profiles folder where you have ArmA installed at. Once created you must move/copy your already existing settings and missions from the old location to the new one.
