wazandy 10 Posted August 5, 2009 ..with the '-cpucount=X' parameter? I don't think I've done it yet. Will I see much a difference? Newbie I know but, thanks...
blackettle 10 Posted August 6, 2009 I am not using this parameter and running Win7 with HT turned off. It runs just fine for me.
bangtail 0 Posted August 6, 2009 I am not using this parameter and running Win7 with HT turned off. It runs just fine for me. You can turn HT back on :) The CPUCOUNT switch is useless for HT enabled i7s as every 2nd core is virtual with HT on. I also remember reading that the CPUCOUNT switch was just plain useless and didn't work. Eth
blackettle 10 Posted August 6, 2009 You can turn HT back on :) Do you mean after patch 1.03?
bangtail 0 Posted August 6, 2009 Do you mean after patch 1.03? Yeah it's ok now (at least it is for me) :)
Bulldogs 10 Posted August 6, 2009 The -Cpucount is for if you want to tell the game to use less than your maximum amount of cores. So if you were having problems with a quad core you'd try -cpucount=2 to see if it works better while only using 2 cores.
ICE-Raver 10 Posted August 6, 2009 I have HT turned on and every setting in the game on max and it runs absolutely flawless other than server side issues on the bigger servers. I have tested HT off and on and I noticed no performance difference whatsoever.
