how do i play arma 2?

ok so i bought the game, and was loving the first missions in harvest red, the night one, was awesome, then moving through the city, and so forth. Now i get into the second part, where their are now waypoints, and i am so lost it is not even funny.

I ran around electro-blah for awhile, and eventually the mission just ended on me, the only thing i did was meet dressler.

now i am in the part of finding sentry posts, and all that good stuff. I made it to gorsk (the only waypoint they provide) i found the priest, and then from there, once again, i am LOST. i look on the map, and there are no waypoints, or any intel telling me where ANYTHING is. I love the looks of the game and im sure its awesome, but since the leader dying, i havnt killed a person yet, and have been running around for about 8 hours so far. I have no clue where i am going, what i am looking, or what the hell i am supposed to do

if someone could PLEASE explain how i go about doing things in this game it would be awesome. I am sick of running through the woods for hours, not finding ANYTHERE

please please please give me some advice on how to play this game, or what the hell to do. The tasks seem awesome, but i just cant find/complete ANY of them.

Have you looked at the Task list (in the Map screen) and read all the notes etc? There are lots of clues there. Keep going there are lots more levels but remember, and as I am finding out also, this is a very complicated "game" and it will take much reading and learning to get the most from the experience.

I got a bit frustrated with all the running around at first but now I get frustrated with other more complicated things. Most of which will get sorted out as I continue to learn how the system works.

I'm tempted to try the Multiplayer but I think I need to learn more skills first.

Woah yea, this isnt call of duty. Read your briefing, notes, mission tasks, study the map in your sleep. You are in a mission (sentry post one is called Manhatten) that is 99% free roam. Its up to you how to complete the tasks and when. If your looking for advice on how to complete a level, look at the walkthroughs posted on this forum, although I never do until I finish the mission for myself.
