ARmA 2 on a laptop - Can't access action menu

Recommended Posts

I'm trying out the demo on my laptop and could not for the life of me figure out how to access the action menu. I finally found it on steam's site with the PDF manual. Since it is on my laptop, I do not have a wheel on the mouse. Is there any way to use anything else to access the action menu? I have a Dell Studio 17 with a full keyboard, so I can use any combination of keys. Thanks for the help.

Hello phillyphoto,

There are two default bindings for the action menu: the middle mouse wheel (MOUSE3) and the Enter key. If you want to bind the action menu to another key just go to Options -> Controls -> find "Perform Action" -> bind selected button.

Note: If you are going to use the Enter key, the [ key selects the UP-action(s) and the ] key selects the DOWN-action(s). Press the Enter key again and the selected action will take place. If you do not want the action to take place, press the Backspace key to go back to the action menu or, if you are already at the action menu, to make the action menu disappear. :bounce3:

What's the default button for the action menu? Since my keyboard is Swedish with a QWERTY layout some buttons are out of place.

Thanks!

the buttons for [ and ] are for the Action menu. near the Enter and Backspace buttons.

You could also change that, it's called Next and Previous in the Controls, but you could always but a computer mouse for 5$.
