Textures start disappearing after a while of playing? Then it's the faulty drivers.

When you read this, you must also have read the numerous solutions aswell. If you did not, I'm sure you'll find them via the search function.

it has a very similar engine to crysis in some ways but different in others. In Crysis it took a split second when loading up for textures to come through and Arma 2 is no different. This game heavily relies on a very good high end Proccessor aswell.

Also try defragging. Watch your harddrive while playing as it gets it's ass kicked :butbut:

Defragging can seriously help with loading textures.

Also sli scaling is VERY good with this game. Have you checked the sli indicator in the nvidia control panel to see if you are actually getting SLI in the game ?

What driver are you using ?

IIRC, this is due to your 295 not being correctly recognized as being SLI-enabled. I had something of a similiar problem.

Clear your Nvidia drivers off, using a driver cleaner app. Restart. Clean again. Restart again. Download the latest Nvidia drivers. Install. Restart.

Check the Nvidia control panel and make sure multiple GPUs are configured, so you're not running in single-mode.

Give that a go. Being honest, it took me a few days to get mine sorted. Nothing whatsoever to do with Arma2. Its the Nvidia drivers/SLI profile that's screwed up.

This needs to be the troubleshooting header for these forums:p
