hotel 10 Posted July 28, 2009 I notice a lot of people are able to increase performance with there Nvidia cards by makign the Pre Rendered frames 8. Does ATI have this setting as well? I do not see it in the Catalyst Control Center but was more or less wondering if I could change it in a config file somewhere? Any help on this matter would be appreciated
von_paulus 0 Posted July 28, 2009 You've to use ATITool instead CCC. http://www.techpowerup.com/atitool/

-TwK-Danny 0 Posted July 29, 2009 The setting you are looking for is called "Flip Queue Size". Setting it to 8 might improve performance, but will delay mouse/input movment.

NeMeSiS 11 Posted July 29, 2009 Danny;1384399']Setting it to 8 might improve performance' date=' but will delay mouse/input movment.[/quote']Yeah, most people actually have to put it to 0 or 1 to be able to play smoothly. (Though the FPS is lower, the input is so much faster... :p )
randir14 10 Posted July 29, 2009 I tried messing with the flip queue size in ATI Tray Tools and didn't notice any difference in the game.
hotel 10 Posted July 29, 2009 Same here. There was no difference in the game whatsoever for me. I even ran benchmarks that proved nothign was better. Waiting for the patch I guess.
Albert Schweitzer 10 Posted July 29, 2009 anyhow, there is probably no problem with 30+ frames anyway so I am not too concerned about it.
