I need help with event not occuring following a mission

I am playing the campaign, the mission where the squad gets out of the personnel carrier along a road, approaches a treeline where a jeep has been ambushed. When I finish the mission I go to the designated place but nothing happens, never get picked up. Has anyone else had this problem and how can I fix it?

just try starting the mission over, I only had this happen once, don't get out of the M113 till they tell you to
