How can i open the campaign in editor?

Right, I am determined to learn how to use the mission editor and unfortunatly I am someone who has big scale missions in mind which means i have a lot to learn. I have just spent the last hour reading the extended full editor manual about things, and to be honest I don't learn by reading manuals some of the scripting explanations completely lost me. So basically what i need to do to learn how to use it is by disecting an already made mission using the editor.

For example I have completed the red harvest campaign, so i know what happens when you use the radio or what objectives i want to do. What I need is to see how these things are set up in the mission editor.

For instance rather than post the same questions on here like "how do i set up a radio airstrike?" I can see how its done with triggers and stuff in the editor and figure out myself how to do it. But all i need to know is how to open the campaign pbo in editor so i can get a good look at how it works

You will need an unpbo tool,such as 'Cpbo'

got it but cant find the red harvest campaign

If memory serves, it is inside missions.pbo, within the AddOns folder in the game directory. I did the same as you, but without any prior knowledge of scripting it was literally like reading a foriegn language.

I don't know if you already know a bit about scripting and such, but if not I strongly reccommend starting small and using searches on this forum to find out, piece by piece, how to put your missions together.

I have the unpbo file installed but i still cant open anything, i right click and get the Unzip pbo option but then i get the "unrecognised file type, get windows to search for the program" promt

I haven't used that particular tool, I use Arma Pbo View (let me know if google doesn't help and i'll try to find the link.)

You just double click on the .pbo you want and then click extract all.

I now have a new problem I still cant seem to open any of them in editor because when select load it only selects the missions that i have edited myself, i think its in the user missions folder. I have tried putting other missions in different folders but cant seem to get any up

I'm trying this as well. I've extracted the campaign, but I can't see it in the editor. I am running Vista. I place the mission folder of the mission I want to edit in my profile mission folder ( my documents\ArmA2\Users\username\missions ) but I still can't see it in the editor. The missions I have created are in that folder and can be seen fine.
