Paratroopers!

Ok i know iam a newbie, but how can I get some soldiers to eject from a flying chopper as paratroopers?

go to www.ofpeditingcenter.com there are a ton of tutorials that will give you step by step info on how to do it. There is one where you can make a group of paratroopers drop out of the helocopter one at a time. Its really awesome

Like Lock N Load said, there are some good scripts on the OFPEC site, but I couldn't get the one provided in the tutorial to work for an AI squad. I modified the script by The Coyote for a multiple squad insertion from a Chinook to insert my squad and several AI squads from multiple Blackhawks. If you are looking to only insert your squad, with you as the leader, it is much simpler. Simply creat a helo. give it a name (i.e. helo1), and in it's initialization field type: heloname flyinheight #value, (i.e. helo1 flyinheight 130). This will make your helo fly at a safe altitude for airborne operations. over 100 m is recomended. Give it some waypoints to the area you wish to jump into. (Regulate the speed of the helo over the DZ by chosing limited in the speed option of the waypoint.)

When you get to where you want to jump select your squad members (not too many at a time or some will have smoking parachutes and will die) and press 6, you will see an eject option come up press the corresponding key. Press enter to pull up the option to eject yourself. You are airborne! Shoot me an e-mail if you need any clarification.
