SpetsnazWarriorX 0 Posted March 14, 2002 Okei, I know the addition of a supersonic aircraft would maybe ruin the fun in some cases (i.e. in a campaign - making it too easy, perhaps). But still, how can anyone say they wouldn't want a MiG-25 Foxbat etc. in the game? I dunno, the thought of blasting round Malden at Mach 3 almost makes me drool. cactus 0 Posted March 14, 2002 Why? It would take you a couple of seconds to pass the islands, not much fun in that. Add to that the not so realistic handling of aircrafts in OFP and your better of with a flight-sim if you want some dogfightning. The engagement range of modern AA-missiles is also so large that you could probably kill your enemy from across the map. LordZach 0 Posted March 14, 2002 interesting concept. i believe GFX707 created an "aa gun" which was an immobile burried vulcan. i've seen a SAM bmp so combine the 2 and there you go. still, the problem is the speed of the aircraft, and then you would have to put in countermeasures, and evasive actions, which would require modding the hard coding i believe, and that would make a whole mess. we gotta remember this is an infantry game first.
