event doesn\'t happen following mission

After an early mission where I approach a treeline with squad, a jeep has been ambushed, I eliminate all enemy and to to the place to be picked up but nothing happens. Also is there a patch that will help and where can I download it?

just make sure the truck does not get destroyed and that some of it's men survive

The truck always gets destroyed, it goes ahead into an ambush.
