Create bow splash/wake

Recommended Posts

Does any one know how to create the bow splash in front of the LHD, as seen in the Utes intro? Or can someone show me to a working script with the same effect? If possible I would also want to create a wake behind the ship.

Can't you just dePBO the Utes island and find the intro mission?

Not that I know what you're talking about, but if it exists you'll find it there. I'm pretty sure it doesn't though, so why not learn how to make particle effects?

What? Am I the only one that can see the particle effect in front of the ships bow in the Utes intro? The one that shows as part of your GUI upon game start?!? It looks as if the ship is moving, even though it's a static object. Great for cutscenes. Nevermind.

I would dePbo Utes if I was at home. Unfortunately I am presently trapped in my Macintosh infested office, without ArmA access. I was wondering if anyone could point me to a similar script, so I can study it and learn from it. I'm a bit lazy though, and would rather not delve too deep into the creation of particle effects if I can avoid it.

Ever notice the running UH1Y right where the bow is on that Intro (save the fact its 15.9m UP).

Ever notice how strange ArmA2 can be with rotor effects sometimes.

:D

Ehrm... okay... I see your point now *quietly hides under table *

I still want to create a bowspalsh/wake effect. Guess I'll have to do some research on particle effects *returns to Ofpec with high hopes*
