SockMonkeh 10 Posted July 8, 2009 I'm having a lot of issues playing with my brother, who shares a router with me, in ArmA 2. Sometimes he cannot join games I am in at all, other times he will join but I will be disconnected, and in rare cases we can both join and play (but it seems like we eventually get dropped and it only seems to work on a few servers). Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this? I don't see any way in ArmA 2 to change the ports that the client uses and I'm not sure what else to do. I have a Linksys WRT54G rev 8.2 but I don't know if the router makes any difference. We are both using the Steam version of ArmA 2 and running Windows 7 RC1. -)rStrangelove 0 Posted July 8, 2009 I take it you both have different Steam accounts. Have you looked into port forwarding via router config?
CHB68 10 Posted July 8, 2009 I must be a Steam "problem". We are also on Windows7 RC1 behind a Netgear DG834GB using the the non-Steam version. No problem at all.
SockMonkeh 10 Posted July 8, 2009 You have a different router, too, so it could be our router. I think I'm gonna' try updating the firmware on this thing. I hope it's not a Steam issue, because I don't see what I could do to fix it if that's the case.
