I don't get any conversation options with civilians in Campaign

Recommended Posts

Currently I'm playing in the "Razor Two" mission of the campaign which is played very similar to a RPG game (which is an awesome adition to ArmA2) but I'm getting one major problem:

- I don't get ANY conversation option when near a civilian (any civilian). Is this normal or is it a bug? In the first mission for example I rescued civilians and I even destroyed a radio tower with satchels (instead of laser designating for airstrike) in order to gain civilian support. But the problem is that I don't get any option to initiate a conversation with civilians and I can't even start a conversation with my own team members. I don't think this is normal! Am I wrong? If not is there a way to fix this issue?

Thanks in advance for replies...

There are only a few civvies that you actually can talk to. When I rescued the woman in the barn, I got two choices when approaching her and it went automatically from there. The 3 tied-up guys in there where alive but I couldn't talk or rescue them so I don't think you can interact with them.

yes, that's the first mission and yes it seems to be impossible to talk to those 3 tied and sit down guys (probably due to scripting) but usually it's possible to iniciate a conversation with civilians in any mission (even in non-campaign missions) as well as initiate conversation with for example friendly soldiers.

But in my situation I can't even start a conversation with a firendly Marine or CDF soldier (I can't even start a "greeting" conversation) which I was able to do at the begining of this same campaing mission. But sudently no more conversation option appears to me where previously it was possible. Now it seems that it's only possible to speak with "critical" NPCs but this wasn't the case at the begining of the mission and it definitly shouldn't happen...
