Impossibly stuck, please help. :(

Recommended Posts

I'm going the Manhattan mission. I'm up to the final task, I was searching for the insurgents leader and main base.

I jump in the support chopper and start flying to the dam, all of a sudden I get hit with a missile, a second later it saves then my character starts talking to HQ. Now I'm spinning out on control and unable to give my team any orders to jump out.

Is there ANY way I can give an order while he's talking to HQ? Even if it's a mod, bug, anything. I really don't want to lose 3 hours of playing. I probably won't bother doing it again.

Don't you have other saves on that mission? Just use Revert (Load) and load up an old save :S

One of the many flaws in this mission. The trigger for "Finding the Chedaki base" I believe is that the enemy is aware of you. Of course this counts if you accidently fly over it in your chopper. Meaning the game saves when you're just about to be blown out of the sky. If you're playing on a difficulty level with no multiple saves, this neccesiates a full restart of the mission.

I'd recomend playing below veteran level for this mission. Its so bugged atm, that multiple saves are pretty much a neccesity to get through it.

Sometimes even multiple saves don't help. I have had to restart the mission BEFORE Manhattan because for some reason, after getting about halfway through the Manhattan mission, whenever I try to load anything from the Manhattan mission, no matter current or earlier it crashes to desktop.

Had to go back to the mission before to get the single player campaign to work again. Frustrating to the point of not even being able to describe. As soon as I get to Manhattan this time I'm going to use the endmission cheat unfortunately, just to get on with it.

These types of game ending issues should be addressed in some sort of communication from BIS, at least a timeline until when they plan to apply some fixes.
