CarlR 10 Posted July 5, 2009 (edited) I'm am constantly Crashing to desktop when ever i try to play a multiplayer game (havnt tried singleplayer, but i'm sure it's be the same issue). I updated my graphics driver and my DirectX (altough i had already latest on that), but it still is crashing every 2-10 min on average, i think the longest i went was 15 min. The Demo didnt do this, it ran abit slowly but it did not crash, also i have graphics set to the lowest on everything. Here is the link for the 3 files as asked on the Sticky concerning crashes and such. i hope this can get fixed since i only bought this 2 days ago and would love to get playing this properly. http://rapidshare.de/files/47757429/ArmA2_crash.rar.html Edited July 5, 2009 by CarlR

[1] if then you try multiplayer and barfs each time then it would be prudent to suggest there is something wrong in online play. perhaps AV or firewall? let us know how your fair:cool: -------------- [1] since this will obviously test you CPU, GPU, RAM, MB, OS etc
CarlR 10 Posted July 6, 2009 well i tried Campaign and Scenario and it crashed again... something i am noticing though is it seems to happen when i'm on the battlefield. During the 1st campagin mission everything was fine and smooth threw the boat stuff and helicopter ride, but once i landed 3 min later, Crash. Same thing for Scenario, 2 min in and crash. i know my computer can handle it cause it did the Demo just fine, and as far as i know the majority of the game is in there (minus all vehicles and weapons ect..) so it seems odd that i couldnt handle it. Computer specs are: eMachine AMD athelon 64 processor 3200+ 1.99ghz 2.5GB RAM Nvidia GeForce 7600 GS 256mb WinXP Home SP3 No Firewall active and currently no AV installed (had to uninstall AVG Free, didnt reinstall yet). no use for a name 0 Posted July 6, 2009 your video card is below the minimum for this game (which is a 7800). My guess is the demo ran because it doesn't have the all of the features of the full game
CarlR 10 Posted July 6, 2009 it's not like leaps and bounds below... and although the demo may not have everything in it, i would assume the tree's are the same, the weapons used are the same, the buildings, enemys, friendly units, landscape ect. are similar if not the same. so i dont quite see your point as to how simply added items will crash the video card if it runs a demo using (i would assume) full game graphics and features (of those unlocked) that are in the game. jambi 10 Posted July 6, 2009 Below is Below. I would say your in for a rough ride. The 3200+ is only single core isn't it? Min Req. for arma 2 is a dual-core Cpu. I could be wrong. considering people with much , much better rigs than your are having trouble, trying swing it with a 7600 isn't going to get you much.
