Casus_Belli 10 Posted July 4, 2009 I'll buy this game if someone can assure me that there is no respawning for friendly or enemy units in the single player campaign, or that you can disable it. Respawning is an abomination !
Murphe 0 Posted July 4, 2009 There is no re-spawning in the single player campaign on the harder difficulties. I can't speak for the easier difficulties because I don't use them, but I doubt it. There is a team switch ability where you can switch between the different units in your group, but you can't use this ones you die.
MadsHilde 10 Posted July 4, 2009 Nope, and it's not like most other fps, where enemies keeps respawning if you just stay put and don't advance. In SP, when you have shot all enemies there will be no more. You can play scenarios where you can buy more units if some dies and so can the enemy...so you just go ahead and buy the game. ProfTournesol 956 Posted July 4, 2009 What about testing the demo ?
Suchy_ 10 Posted July 4, 2009 (edited) In the Warfare missions there is respawning. Or rather spawning. What's dead stays dead, except both you and enemy can just spawn more unints. It ends up with complete absurd stuff when attacking enemy base, having it surrounded with tanks, they just keep popping up out of thin air despite being shot down after 5 second life span... I could swallow it if it was just a single mission or MP mode, I just wouldn't play it. But why the hell was it included in the campaign? Casus_Belli 10 Posted July 4, 2009 I have been playing the demo Death Valley mission in single player and it would be great if it wasn't for this completely ludicrous thing where your men get killed and then there they are again. If I could find a way to stop it from happening, I'd be very grateful. Mind you, it is only the demo, so I'm not complaining, it just seems crazy that you can't turn it off, and it means I might not buy the game. Buying units on the fly is a bit (like, a lot) dodgy too isn't it? You can just purchase a fully-trained marine who miraculously appears beside you in the middle of the battle? Yeah, right.
